Lamongan, 21 December 2025PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has confirmed the availability of subsidized fertilizers for registered fish farmer groups. This follows the Government’s decision to allocate 295,000 tons of subsidized fertilizers for Fish Farmer Groups (Pokdakan) in 2026.

Director of Supply Chain of Pupuk Indonesia, Robby Setiabudi Madjid, stated that the Government has designated subsidized fertilizers that can be utilized by fish farmers, namely Urea, SP-36, and Petrokganik organic fertilizer.

“We have already carried out the production and distribution processes. Subsidized fertilizers for the fisheries sector will be ready for redemption by fish farmers at official kiosks in 2026. God willing, the process will run smoothly, just as it has in the agricultural sector,” said Robby during the ‘Socialization and Simulation of Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution for the Fisheries Sector’ event in Lamongan Regency, East Java, on Sunday (21/12/2025).

Robby further explained that Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 113 of 2025, which amends Perpres 6/2025 on Fertilizer Governance, mandates the expansion of subsidized fertilizers to support the fisheries sector. The issuance of this regulation represents the Government’s effort to boost productivity, improve cost efficiency, and ensure the sustainability of the national fisheries sector.

“Pupuk Indonesia fully supports the Government’s program. The Government has listened to the concerns of pond farmers, and now fish farmers once again have access to subsidized fertilizers,” Robby emphasized.

In supporting the implementation of this policy, Pupuk Indonesia is committed to playing an optimal role. The company will ensure fertilizer production readiness in line with fish farmers’ needs in terms of type, volume, and timeliness, while also supporting accurate and targeted distribution.

“The availability of subsidized fertilizers for the fisheries sector is not entirely new. This is a long-awaited policy for fish farmers, and now it is finally becoming a reality,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Aquaculture at the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, TB Haeru Rahayu, stated that the distribution of subsidized fertilizers to fish farmer groups marks an important milestone, following four years without access to subsidized fertilizers.

Despite the allocation being in place, he emphasized that subsidized fertilizers can only be redeemed by fish farmers who are registered in the e-RPSP system of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), which has been integrated with Pupuk Indonesia’s iPubers application. Therefore, he urged eligible fish farmers to register through their respective Pokdakan.

“I ask the Head of the Fisheries Office to update the data. When fish farmers need fertilizers, the quota will already be available,” said Tebe, the familiar name of TB Haeru Rahayu.

He also revealed that the allocation of subsidized fertilizers for the fisheries sector in 2026 amounts to approximately 295,000 tons, based on proposals submitted by provincial and regency governments.

“The redemption process is easy—just bring an ID card. Once registered, farmers will be served immediately,” Tebe explained.

At the same event, Suminto, a pond farmer from Sukorejo, Lamongan, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Government for reinstating access to subsidized fertilizers for pond farmers, especially since prices are now lower than before.

“We pond farmers from Sukorejo feel greatly relieved. With subsidized fertilizers, income from pond cultivation can increase, and our welfare will certainly improve,” he said.
