Pupuk Indonesia Group has ensured that the availability of subsidized fertilizers for the peak of the 2025 planting season can be met with good quality. This was conveyed by the President Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Rahmad Pribadi, during the dispatch of five trucks carrying 191.25 tons of subsidized fertilizer from the Pupuk Kujang factory area on Friday (28/11/2025).

It is known that the Board of Directors of Pupuk Indonesia Group released hundreds of tons of subsidized fertilizer as an effort to strengthen field stock ahead of the planting season. This distribution was realized through the departure of five fertilizer transport trucks, consisting of three trucks carrying urea fertilizer destined for Jatibarang II Warehouse, Beji, and Cibadak, as well as two trucks carrying NPK fertilizer destined for Pasir Hayam and Dawuan Warehouses.

“We have just witnessed the release of subsidized fertilizer shipments. There are five trucks being sent to various regions in West Java, parts of Central Java, and Banten,” said Rahmad.

Pupuk Indonesia ensures that all subsidized fertilizers currently being distributed to these regions can already be redeemed by registered farmers at official kiosks or retailers in their respective areas. These farmers can redeem the fertilizers at the latest Highest Retail Price (HET), which has been reduced by 20 percent since October 22, 2025.

Furthermore, Rahmad stated that the shipment of subsidized fertilizer from Pupuk Kujang is expected to meet the fertilizer needs of farmers registered in the e-RDKK system during the peak planting season. In fact, he said that Pupuk Kujang, as a producer of subsidized fertilizer, has delivered more fertilizer to West Java and surrounding areas than the farmers’ actual needs.

“So we have made extra preparations to anticipate the planting season, which is now approaching its peak. Shipments from Pupuk Kujang are focused on West Java, with some deliveries to Central Java and Banten, because demand in West Java is very high. West Java is a national food barn, especially since Pupuk Kujang is located among three regencies with the highest rice production. Therefore, Pupuk Kujang’s current production is intended to support West Java,” he added.

On this occasion, Rahmad also expressed his deepest condolences over the flood disaster that has affected parts of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. As a precautionary measure, Pupuk Indonesia has temporarily shut down the factory at Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM).

“However, farmers do not need to worry. Pupuk Indonesia Group ensures that the availability of subsidized fertilizers in Northern Sumatra (Sumbagut) remains secure, as it is supported by stocks from other subsidiaries of Pupuk Indonesia. Supplies will be delivered from Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, Petrokimia Gresik, and Pupuk Kalimantan Timur,” Rahmad emphasized.

He explained that Pupuk Indonesia has temporarily halted operations at the Pupuk Iskandar Muda fertilizer plant, which is currently affected by flooding. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of Pupuk Indonesia Group employees.

Nevertheless, Rahmad urged all farmers in the affected areas not to worry about the availability of subsidized fertilizers. According to him, all needs will continue to be met through production from Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, Petrokimia Gresik, and Pupuk Kalimantan Timur.

Pupuk Indonesia Provides 1.1 Million Tons of Subsidized Fertilizer

Rahmad stated that Pupuk Indonesia is committed to maintaining fertilizer availability by providing a stock of 1.1 million tons, consisting of 701,954 tons of subsidized fertilizer and the remainder being non-subsidized fertilizer. Meanwhile, to meet demand in West Java, the company has prepared a stock of 49,375 tons of subsidized fertilizer.

Rahmad ensured that all registered farmers can redeem subsidized fertilizer at the latest HET through official kiosks or retailers in their respective regions. “The subsidized fertilizer currently being distributed is fertilizer whose price has been reduced by 20 percent. Praise be to God, thanks to the decision and policy of President Prabowo Subianto, we were assigned to find innovations so that farmers can obtain fertilizers at lower prices. Fertilizer prices have been reduced by 20 percent, volumes have been increased, and the redemption process has been simplified. God willing, with these three basic measures implemented together with the government, our dream of achieving food self-sufficiency can soon be realized,” he said.

This step represents the company’s concrete commitment to maintaining fertilizer availability and ensuring timely and properly allocated distribution to various absorption areas, thereby becoming a tangible effort by Pupuk Indonesia Group to achieve national food self-sufficiency.
